I received an email today from service centre yahoo that my account will be closed. Is this a true mail of Yah
That's a phishing email. Whatever you do, don't reply to the message and give the phishers your personal information. Doing so will cause the phishers to quickly change the password, denying you access to your own account. Many people lose their Y! accounts by falling for this trick, so don't be the next one to lose yours in that manner.
You need to remember Y! doesn't ever send you an email to verify your account information, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers.
Send the message to the following addresses:
phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com
mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com
Then turn around and spam that fraud message spammed straight into oblivion right away.
By doing as I instructed, you will have kept your Y! account free from the phishers' hands.
Reply:hi if you go on to the help section top right of the screen and type in how to contact yahoo answeres it will come up with several questions high light the question that says ' how can i tell yahoo about problems i have with yahoo scroll right to the bottom and their is a bar that says contact customer care click on that and ask them ive clicked on it and it askes for your e.mail addy and your name and question that is concerning you hope this helps you. but it is a scam
Reply:Scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email.

Reply:100% scam. First of all, if it was really from yahoo, they wouldn't adress you as "account user". And there's a very simple test to prove it. I sent a blank email to servicecenter@yahoo.com and today I received an email that said my email was not delievered. That was just because there's no such email address.
Reply:How many times have you heard that you NEVER EVER EVER send your password?
Didn't the phrase "we are having congestions" make you think this what written by some illiterate monkey who wants to rip you off?
Reply:Never give out information like that aas they will have access to your stuff
Reply:No. Report it to Yahoo. If it were really from them they'd use your name.

Who and how do I report this?
Is this virus from yahoo.com itself? How do I find out more about how this was sent from yahoo?
I've received an email that Symantec's AntiVirus identifies as the malicious virus W32.Feebs from %26lt;noreply@yah
Check the actual sender thats not in %26lt;tags%26gt; if it is a URL similar to yahoo, another site, or if it really is yahoo. If it is Yahoo.com, then it could be a virus hiding in your inbox, but if its another site then report it at http://help.yahoo.com/help/index.html
Reply:hi, that maybe a virus, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

I wonder if u believe in this email. Reading the lines give a lot of clues:
For example
01. "We are in receipt of your completed form" - If they already have received the completed form, why do they require additional details, name, address, passport details, bank details.
02. "nationwide_bank_plc2008@yahoo.co.uk " - Simply go to Yahoo.co.uk website, create a new email with xxxxxx@yahoo.co.uk. It doesn't matter where in the world u r. Secondly Banks have their own websites. (www.icici.com, hdfc.com) Why should they go for a general email ID?
03. "PHONE:+44-704-577-3497 FAX: +44-704-574-5743" - Belong to London (Chk this: http://www.indiatradezone.com/cosrc/view...
04. There is no amount mentioned.
Just mark it as spam mail. And don't let these mails trouble. It is a simple case of Phishing, where scamsters require infomation about you. They may require it to impersonate you.
An example would help u to be more alert.
My nephew recently recvd an email from UK, asking to send UK Pound 1000/- as commission charges from transfer of award money of USD 1 million from Africa to India via US. He foolishly gave away his details. Thereafter, We told them, to deduct it from the amount from the award money and send us the rest.
Line Dead. No response.
Moreover, RBI has warned the general public about such fraud emails.
