I received an email today from service centre yahoo that my account will be closed. Is this a true mail of Yah
That's a phishing email. Whatever you do, don't reply to the message and give the phishers your personal information. Doing so will cause the phishers to quickly change the password, denying you access to your own account. Many people lose their Y! accounts by falling for this trick, so don't be the next one to lose yours in that manner.
You need to remember Y! doesn't ever send you an email to verify your account information, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers.
Send the message to the following addresses:
phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com
mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com
Then turn around and spam that fraud message spammed straight into oblivion right away.
By doing as I instructed, you will have kept your Y! account free from the phishers' hands.
Reply:hi if you go on to the help section top right of the screen and type in how to contact yahoo answeres it will come up with several questions high light the question that says ' how can i tell yahoo about problems i have with yahoo scroll right to the bottom and their is a bar that says contact customer care click on that and ask them ive clicked on it and it askes for your e.mail addy and your name and question that is concerning you hope this helps you. but it is a scam
Reply:Scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email.

Reply:100% scam. First of all, if it was really from yahoo, they wouldn't adress you as "account user". And there's a very simple test to prove it. I sent a blank email to servicecenter@yahoo.com and today I received an email that said my email was not delievered. That was just because there's no such email address.
Reply:How many times have you heard that you NEVER EVER EVER send your password?
Didn't the phrase "we are having congestions" make you think this what written by some illiterate monkey who wants to rip you off?
Reply:Never give out information like that aas they will have access to your stuff
Reply:No. Report it to Yahoo. If it were really from them they'd use your name.

Who and how do I report this?
Is this virus from yahoo.com itself? How do I find out more about how this was sent from yahoo?
I've received an email that Symantec's AntiVirus identifies as the malicious virus W32.Feebs from %26lt;noreply@yah
Check the actual sender thats not in %26lt;tags%26gt; if it is a URL similar to yahoo, another site, or if it really is yahoo. If it is Yahoo.com, then it could be a virus hiding in your inbox, but if its another site then report it at http://help.yahoo.com/help/index.html
Reply:hi, that maybe a virus, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

I wonder if u believe in this email. Reading the lines give a lot of clues:
For example
01. "We are in receipt of your completed form" - If they already have received the completed form, why do they require additional details, name, address, passport details, bank details.
02. "nationwide_bank_plc2008@yahoo.co.uk " - Simply go to Yahoo.co.uk website, create a new email with xxxxxx@yahoo.co.uk. It doesn't matter where in the world u r. Secondly Banks have their own websites. (www.icici.com, hdfc.com) Why should they go for a general email ID?
03. "PHONE:+44-704-577-3497 FAX: +44-704-574-5743" - Belong to London (Chk this: http://www.indiatradezone.com/cosrc/view...
04. There is no amount mentioned.
Just mark it as spam mail. And don't let these mails trouble. It is a simple case of Phishing, where scamsters require infomation about you. They may require it to impersonate you.
An example would help u to be more alert.
My nephew recently recvd an email from UK, asking to send UK Pound 1000/- as commission charges from transfer of award money of USD 1 million from Africa to India via US. He foolishly gave away his details. Thereafter, We told them, to deduct it from the amount from the award money and send us the rest.
Line Dead. No response.
Moreover, RBI has warned the general public about such fraud emails.

Undisclosed-Recipient@yah... - What is that? Someone sent me an email?
Someone sent me a legitimate email, but it didn't have my name in the "To". It had "Undisclosed-Recipient@yahoo.com" in the "To". I think there's a way to hide who you send emails to so that if you send it to multiple people, they can't see who you're sending it to. Hellosmarty98 anwered my original question incorrectly.
Undisclosed-Recipient@yah... - What is that? Someone sent me an email?
Yes, what you receive is an e-mail that conceals the list of persons that receive the same e-mail.
For most mailers and free web mail if you want to hide the identity of the people who got the e-mail from each other you place them in the BCC: part not in the To: or CC: part.

Reply:100% SCAM. Yahoo doesn't have lotteries or cash giveaways. If they did, you can be sure there would be a LOT of advertising for it all over their web sites. Just delete that email, and any others like it that you are likely to get. DON'T click any links in it, and certainly DON'T reply to it.

You are probably a victim of bank fraud or identity theft. I would contact your bank immediately, and contact the police as well. DO NOT WAIT. These people will usually sell your name to a website that will post all of your information out there for anyone to see...I know someone this happened to, and his bank account was wiped out.

Reg. Yahoo email won't load; & Yah! Beta freezes up...?
Okay, for a month or so (Jan/Feb 2007), Yahoo Beta email worked fine. Then, in early March, I logged on to the old style Yahoo Mail, and when I tried to switch to Beta, the dancing guy just keeps dancing (for about 30 minutes...) I did all the suggested 'fixes', and got a message saying there was a 'syntax' problem, whatever that is.
Since I couldn't get the Beta version to load properly, I tried to go back to regular Yahoo email. It looks weird (no frames), and repeats itself at the bottom of the screen. I can't pull up any email messages, as the message area is blank. The Inbox will show new mail, but when I click on it, the body of the email remains white.
When I try to access my mail from my Yahoo page, it tries to load Beta and the guy keeps dancing -- result, nothing.
How do I fix this?
I'd rather have my old version of Yahoo Mail back, but I need to be able to read my messages.
thanks

Melinda,
Download Spybot-Search and Destroy. It is free, and eliminates spyware, and other things you may not want on your computer. This may eliminate the problem you have and help you get your old version of Yahoo Mail back. Hope this helps. This may be a long shot, but it is cetainly worth a try.

Has Yahoo Mail changed to a new version for you? If it has, then look around somewhere at the top of the page when youre at your inbox for "Switch back" and click it to go back to the old version. The photos might still be there.
If it hasn't changed then search here (its the mail help page) http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/mail/

My email is not working correctly, ie I can not reply back or send new mesages my email is flowbestuk@yah?
There are a lot of people having problems at the moment. It appears to be a Yahoo fault. All I can suggest is wait and try later. Just a piece of advice as well You really should not give out your e-mail address on an open site like this, everyone can see it and send you spam and scam. Be careful and I would suggest you change your address and give it to trusted friends only. Good luck.

I have not been able to log into Yahoo Mail through Internet Explorer since last week. I am using the Mozilla Firefox browser and typing yahoo.mail.com in the address bar, and am able to access that way. Seems the are MANY problems right now with Yahoo Mail. You might try logging in with a different browser. Good luck!

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Just remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.

Reply:Yes, you just won something over one billion dollars in U.S. funds and a date with Brad Pitt. Now for the mere price of one and one half billion dollars, I will tell you how to collect it. This lottery is run by the same people who finally got their poor, crooked father's stolen fortune out of a bank in Nigeria or Ghana or South Africa or all of them. They were so grateful they decided to give most of it away this way.

Why don't graphics appear/load in my email from Yah Personals?
I'm using Firefox 2 and most of the emails I receive are fine but the yahoo personals matches emails I receive seldom open with the graphics/photos appearing. The text for the most part shows on the page - sometimes not - I am running a Norton Firewall but that shouldn't stop the email graphics.
Does anything need to be added to my Firefox or is there a setting I need to do? This is driving me crazy.
Why don't graphics appear/load in my email from Yah Personals?
Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.
Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.
Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.
So it's not anything you're doing, your computer, or your internet connection, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you shut down your computer), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag or a system restore.
Reply:Hope helped @least a little until Y finally fixes all the problems. And sincere thanx, my friend, for your vote %26amp; rating. Alex Report Abuse
Reply:try updateing firefox then see if IE does the same. if so then try updateing windows, then try updateing java. if this dont work i got no idea.

How do i configure my Outlook Express Settings when my default website is yahoo.com and my email ad is at yah?
On your "MY YAHOO" page click on "Member Center". It is right next to the "sign in" "sign out" buttons. When you get to My Center check the FAQ section. If you don't get an answer you can use the "Tech Support" phone number and email address is there as well. If all else fails, I accept email at my profile and I will try to help you.
One last thing: If you have Norton Antivirus on your system and you're having WEIRD problems try uninstalling the Norton stuff. If you are running VISTA you will have to go to the Norton Site and download the uninstall tool. I spent nearly two weeks getting my Mail straight after getting a new computer with Norton preloaded. When I uninstalled it and reloaded it, everything straightened out like magic.
Good luck and don't be afraid to contact tech support, they are reasonable good folks.

When I open my yah email, It doesn't show the attach. pics. just a x in the box. cant see them till downloaded
I cant see attachments until they are downloaded to the computer. Does anyone know how I can change this? I want to be able to preview them first. I tried everything I know of.

Yahoo is having many problems. I had the problem with red x's showing instead of thumbnails. 1 WEEK after I sent them an email about the problem they sent me an answer that it was fixed. Sure, now instead of red x's I get a pic of a page of paper with corner turned down, still no thumbnail pic. That is on sent email saved. Also some but not all incoming mail have that page symbol. Never ever had that symbol before this. Very frustrating when they can't get something fixed right away. Doesn't look good for their service. They may get it fixed some yr.
